The S.E. System Electronic Anniversary—30 Years of Passion for Innovation!
In 2026, S.E. System Electronic GmbH will celebrate its 30th anniversary. What began in 1996 as a one-man operation with a clear vision has evolved over the past three decades into an innovative family-owned company with its own in-house development, design, and manufacturing capabilities. Today, under the ExtremeLine umbrella brand, the company produces high-quality solutions for light, air, and heat that are used throughout Europe and beyond in sunrooms, patio covers, restaurants, wellness areas, and many other applications.
Reinhold Kalteis laid the foundation for the company in 1996. With a great deal of ingenuity, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuously improving its products, S.E. System Electronic GmbH grew step by step. A decisive milestone came in 2008, when Reinhold Kalteis decided not to simply resell imported infrared heaters, but to develop his own, significantly higher-quality solution in accordance with German quality standards. This gave rise to the success story of the ExtremeLine brand.
Development and Manufacturing Under One Roof
To this day, one principle remains true: Innovation arises where development and production work hand in hand.
At the company’s facility in Halfing, Chiemgau, ExtremeLine products are developed, engineered, manufactured, assembled, and tested. With a high degree of vertical integration, state-of-the-art production facilities, and our own development and testing laboratory, we create durable, high-quality products “Made in Germany.” The group is complemented by a second production site in Baiern and over 3,000 m² of development, office, and manufacturing space. From a radiant heater manufacturer to a solutions provider for light, air, heat, and water
Our product line now includes a wide range of high-quality products designed to enhance your home comfort and improve your quality of life. These include, among others, infrared heaters from the HeatFlare, HeatTube, HeatShine, and HeatTower series, which provide efficient heat sources for a wide variety of applications. We also manufacture electric sliding skylights from the AirSlide series, which provide flexible and stylish solutions for natural light and ventilation in your rooms.
To ensure optimal lighting quality in your summer and winter gardens or covered patios, we have developed innovative LED systems that are functional, high-quality, and energy-efficient. In 2025, our product line was expanded to include the AquaTube downspout systems acquired from Nikoleit Wintergarten Paradies, which offer durable and reliable solutions for rainwater drainage. We also offer intelligent control and smart home solutions such as ExRemote, which allow you to conveniently and centrally control technical devices.
To this day, all of our products share the same philosophy: the highest quality, sophisticated technology, and durable solutions. Our goal is to develop sustainable concepts that make your everyday life easier and create a more comfortable home.
Innovation as a Driving Force for the Future
Over the past 30 years, the group of companies has been continuously expanded and modernized. New manufacturing technologies such as waterjet cutting, CNC machining, laser welding, and in-house test benches enable the company to manufacture products entirely in-house.
Numerous awards, such as the Red Dot Design Award, the German Brand Award, the German Design Award, and EMAS certification, also underscore the company’s high standards for quality, design, and sustainability!
Milestones from 2025 to the Present
For S.E. System Electronic GmbH and its ExtremeLine brand, 2025 and this year have been all about growth, innovation, and strategic development. With new products, investments in state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, and key business decisions, we have achieved decisive milestones that will have a lasting impact on our future. One of the other most significant developments in 2025 was the acquisition of the production and distribution of the NIKOLEIT downspout system—AquaTube.
With the new 9201 LED light, innovative mounting brackets for infrared heaters on large umbrellas, and the ongoing development of our heating and window solutions, we are setting new standards for modern outdoor living concepts. At the same time, after 17 successful years, we bid farewell to HeatZone and paved the way for the next generation of efficient infrared heating technology.
At the same time, we made targeted investments in expanding our manufacturing and service operations—including a new OMAX waterjet cutting system, state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, and the further development of ExtremeLine Services as a development and manufacturing partner for everything from one-off parts to contract manufacturing.
Another milestone was the generational transition: Since November 2025, Christian and Robert Kalteis have been leading the family business as the second generation. With fresh ideas, new investments, and a clear strategy for the future, they are consistently advancing the group’s development and strengthening ExtremeLine’s position as an innovative provider of solutions for light, air, and heat.
In addition, we were able to further expand our market presence—including through the acquisition of the LIGHTtune brand and the expansion of our partner network. By consistently focusing on energy-efficient and future-proof products, we create real added value for our specialty retail partners.
But that’s just the beginning. We’ll continue to pursue our innovation strategy with determination in 2026 as well. New product developments, exciting projects, and further investments are already in the works. Our customers, partners, and authorized dealers can therefore look forward to many more milestones.
