Ready for the future - takeover of Friederichsen & Raidl GmbH and the LIGHTtune brand
Company succession can also be a model for success: On November 1, 2025, the Kalteis/Murner family group of companies took over Friederichsen & Raidl GmbH with the LIGHTtune brand, setting the course for a successful future. The siblings behind the takeover are Christian, Robert and Roland Kalteis as well as Claudia and Cornelia Murner. Robert Kalteis takes over the management of Friederichsen & Raidl GmbH and Christian Kalteis is responsible for sales. A particular advantage for customers and partners: Markus Friederichsen, founder and driving force behind the development of the LIGHTtune brand, will remain with the company. In future, his focus will be on product development, services and corporate strategy. The new shareholders are already successfully managing S.E. System Electronic GmbH, as well as the brands ExtremeLine.de and ExtremeLine- Dienstleistung.de.
Two companies - one mission
The merger creates valuable synergies – including expertise in electrical engineering and metal processing, two production sites, an exceptionally efficient machine park and a significantly expanded production range. Together, Markus Friederichsen and the new shareholders are actively shaping the future of LIGHTtune. The focus is on innovation, quality and award-winning products in order to further develop and strengthen the LIGHTtune brand in the long term. Under the LIGHTtune brand, Friederichsen & Raidl GmbH develops and produces market-leading height adjusters for pendant luminaires, which are used by renowned designer luminaire manufacturers worldwide. Here in Baiern, everything from the turned parts to the electronics is manufactured on site and every single LIGHTtune is tested. The high quality is an exclusive promise they make to their customers.
A 100% outgoing goods inspection is anchored in our corporate mission statement. All electronic products have serial numbers, with the help of which we can guarantee the traceability of the individual parts. This means that a traceable supply chain is also one of our strengths.
LIGHTtune is a height adjustment system for pendant luminaires and more. It can be used to adjust the height of a pendant luminaire continuously and conveniently, for example above: Dining tables, kitchen islands, meeting rooms, counters/reception areas and much more.
What makes LIGHTtune special?
Convenient height adjustment without tools or additional parts and power transmission integrated in the cable. High quality and “Made in Germany”. Clear design without annoying counterweights. Versatile use (e.g. catering, office, etc.). Also available motorized with control.
With LIGHTtune 1, pendant luminaires with up to four channels are conveniently supplied via just one supply cable. Luminaire weights of up to 2.5 kg can be realized. For even more flexibility and ease of use, the solution is also available as a motorized version. The usable cables are available in transparent and black.
With LIGHTtune 2, you can conveniently control pendant luminaires with up to four channels via two supply cables. The system enables luminaire weights of up to 2.5 kg to be achieved. It is also available as a motorized version for maximum flexibility and ease of use. In addition, a cable diverter is available for linear luminaires, which extends the range of possible applications.
With LIGHTtune 3, you can conveniently control pendant luminaires with up to four channels via three supply cables. In the LIGHTtune 3/2 version, two supply cables are used for linear luminaires. The system enables luminaire weights of up to 5 kg to be realized. For maximum flexibility and ease of use, it is also available as a motorized version.
